This Filipino restaurant near BCG has very high ratings. Since I have never had Filipino food, I decided to give it a try.
The high-ceiling environment in the store is very open and clean, and it's very comfortable to come in.
Although the menus are all in English, I really didn’t understand them. I could only understand that they were divided into large, medium and small XD. In the end, I gave up studying the menu and directly asked the clerk for recommendations
There are two sauces on the table for seasoning
Crispy Pancit Palabok S (225 PHP)
The waiter will directly help you pour the sauce on top. The sauce that was originally as high as a mountain will instantly soften in the bowl and turn into a bowl of rice noodles.
The noodles look like this after pouring the sauce. It looks really ugly 😂 It tastes a lot like fried glass noodles. When soaked in the soup, the center will feel a little soft, but because it is not hot at all, it is It's heavily salty, heavy in oil, and slightly sweet. The whole portion tastes very greasy. Moreover, there are only two shrimps and only half an egg. It's a bit different from the picture. The picture and text don't match up🤪
House Crispy Sisig S (190 PHP)
This dish is made from minced pork neck, pork fillet, and pig skin, mixed with spices, and then placed on the iron plate to eat. But I don’t know why it is not cooked at all when served, causing it to be very oily.
I can’t tell what the seasoning is. It just tastes salty, hard, and crunchy. This is something I personally don’t like very much. It’s one of the few foods that I don’t want to eat anymore after just a few bites🥶
Ube+Sago(160 PHP)
This purple sweet potato + sago has coconut milk in it and has a strong coconut milk aroma. The sago is a little larger than the ordinary Taiwanese ones and has a slightly Q taste. Although it is super sweet, it is the best today. I think it tastes the best😂
It’s my first time to try Filipino food. I don’t know if it’s not to my taste. I don’t think it’s very delicious. The point is that even the temperature of the food is very cold when it’s just served. This is so unqualified. However, the reviews on Google Maps are different. It was very tall, and all the locals next to me ate it up, which was strange. Anyway, I felt so disappointed after finishing it~
There are errors in the above, please correct
