Insadong is a relatively old area in Seoul. You can see ancient streets where tradition and modernity coexist. In addition to shopping, Insadong is also famous as the "tea house street". Today, let's experience a traditional Korean tea house. ~
There are small alleys on both sides of the main street. As soon as you get in, you can see many teahouses. I chose one with an atrium and it felt like a good atmosphere.

I really like sitting on the ground~ It was only 0 degrees outside that day, but the whole tea house was very warm. I could lie down, sleep, and cross my legs comfortably, while watching the light snow falling outside the window🥰

Hot jujube tea (8000 KRW)
Although it is called red date tea, it is completely different from the red date tea in Taiwan! Look at how thick the soup is, it should be called red date puree~ It feels very nourishing🤣 but it is super sweet!! I don’t think there is any extra sugar, but it is really delicious It’s sweet, and this small bowl costs about NT$190, which is really expensive.
Shuanghecha hot black herbal tea (9000 KRW)
I finally drank the famous Korean traditional Ssanghwa tea~ All I can say is...it’s basically a medicinal soup with ginger but no salt or ribs🤣I’m not used to drinking it alone, please help me add some ribs!!
Grilled rice cake (set meal discount 5500 KRW)
The texture of the rice cake is also different from that in Taiwan. It is more solid, with a bit of charcoal grilled rice aroma, and it is sprinkled with almond slices and honey. It is the more acceptable to us among the three.
Although the taste of this tea house experience is not what I am used to, it is still interesting to experience traditional Korean food, and the overall environment is very comfortable ~ and there is no time limit. It is highly recommended that everyone take a rest and recharge when they are tired from shopping.
