The specialty of this udon restaurant is that udon noodles are served in teapots. It is right next to Kushida Shrine, very close. Come and experience it.
The name of the store, あかちょこべ, means lazy person, I don’t know why🤣
The first floor is full of bar seats. It was almost 10pm when we went there and there was no one there.
Signboard teapot hanging on the kitchen
Go to the second floor and put your shoes in the shoe cabinet
There are a total of five tables on the second floor, all of which are low tables sitting on the floor. Although it is old, I like this atmosphere very much.
Provide ice water and wet towels
The menu is all in Japanese~~ and there are only a few pictures. You need to do some translation work in advance, otherwise you can only order based on your feeling.
Every table will come with a bowl of this thread-like thing. It is seaweed. The boss said it is added to the soup noodles and it melts in your mouth as soon as you put it in your mouth. It really has the fragrance of seaweed, which is super special!
Charcoal grilled chicken legs grilled over charcoal (¥980)
The chicken thighs are very tender~ and super hot!! The lemon and yuzu pepper sauce on top makes the taste very layered and goes very well~ I love the yuzu pepper. Overall it’s delicious, but a little oily.
Hakata one-bite pan-fried dumplings Hakata one-bite pan-fried dumplings (¥580)
The dumplings are smaller than those in Taiwan, but the skin is very thin. The outside is fried to a crispy texture, and the inside is juicy. It also goes well with soy sauce and yuzu pepper sauce. This one is also very hot, which is a bonus.
Meat Sauce Curry Udon Original Komatsu Kamakura (¥780)
The curry meat sauce is heavily spiced, somewhat similar to Indian curry, not the sweet Japanese apple curry as expected, which is quite unexpected. The udon noodles are not the super Q type, they are a bit more soba. They are not bad when eaten together, but they are not particularly amazing.
Large intestine teapot udon もつずぼらうどん(¥940)
The signature teapot udon is here~The teapot is really just a bowl🤣
Divided into a bowl of noodles and a bowl of sauce, this is the concept of tsukemen. The dipping sauce is sweet, salty and slightly spicy, which is quite delicious. But I can’t do the large intestine~~ The taste is so strong, and it’s very greasy. It has a full chylo texture, and I really can’t swallow it after one bite.…(But my friend said it was pretty good)
The noodles have the same soft texture as soba noodles.
After eating, I felt that although the specialty of this restaurant is udon noodles, other items are better than udon noodles, but the large intestine is really unacceptable to me personally... However, the noodles served in a teapot are quite unique.
