This むつか堂 is a bakery specialty store with two branches in Fukuoka. Today I went to the fifth floor of AMU PLAZA inside Hakata Station. Hakata Station is huge~ In addition to the station itself, it is also connected to Hankyu Department Store, AMU PLAZA, and JR HAKATA CITY. , and KITTE OIOI
It's simpler from the ground, just behind the building's clock. We came up from the subway station that day. Even though we knew we were at AMU PLAZA, we were so lost that we couldn’t find it using navigation🤣
After a lot of hard work and getting lost, we finally arrived ~ touching
Toast is the signature of this store. It is freshly made every day in the small bakery inside the store. Various toasts and biscuits are also sold in front of the counter.
The clock outside the window is the big clock you see from outside the station. The space inside the store is very comfortable, and business is pretty good in the afternoon.

There is a service bell on the table. Look at the menu and then ring the bell to ask the waiter to take your order.
The menu is supported by Chinese, English and pictures. You can order a la carte or add a set meal. There are two options for the set meal, one with salad and drink (¥550), and the other with just drink (¥440)
There are drinks on the back. The drinks in the set menu do not include the three types of スキューマー series on the left.
Salted Cream Red Bean Toast Sauce (¥693)
This is the most popular item in this shop. The freshly made toast is crispy on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside. The salted butter and red beans on top also go well together, so delicious.
Mixed fruit sandwich フルーツミックスサンド(¥847)
Because I like Japanese fruit sandwiches very much. Whenever I see a fruit sandwich, I want to try it.
Look how tempting this cross-section is~~ But after biting into it, I was a little disappointed🤣The fruit is very fresh and the toast is delicious, but the cream is not good~~ It is very similar to the cream that is scraped off traditional birthday cakes. Japanese cream is usually They are all delicious, eh...and the fruit is only visible on the surface, and the inside is filled with cream. In comparison, the fruit sandwich from 7-11 beats it!!
I ordered the ginger cinnamon latte ジンジャーシナモンラテ and the tea soda ティーソーダ (each set is ¥440)
The ginger cinnamon latte is just a regular latte sprinkled with cinnamon powder (I forgot to take a photo so I stirred it up XD), with ginger syrup underneath, which is quite rich in flavor. Tea soda is soda water with tea syrup below, and a refreshing mint flavor. I have never tasted these two combinations in Taiwan. It is quite delicious~
Because this time I was looking forward to the fruit sandwich the most, but the difference was the biggest and I was disappointed. Everything else was very good~ especially the main toast is really delicious (but not very unique~ after all, there are many restaurants selling this kind of toast now) , but the environment is very comfortable and highly recommended.
After eating, I walked to B1 and found that they also have a counter with a more complete variety of bread. You can buy it directly here.
