Leon is a restaurant that specializes in mussels. It has many branches in Paris. Today we visited the Saint Germain branch near Mabillon station.
Just look at this representative green signboard
I like the decoration of the store very much~it feels like a retro cafe. Besides the first area, there is also a large area with so many seats that you basically don’t need to make a reservation.
The paper menu is only in French. For the English version, you need to scan the QR code on the paper.
There is a basket nearby for throwing mussel shells, and there are free bread, hand towels and water. The bread is just ordinary.
leon classic mussel leon (16.9€)
Look at how healing this big pot is! Every order of the mussel pot comes with fries (I forgot to take a photo). The fries are thick and freshly fried, very crispy and delicious. The mussel sauce will sink to the bottom of the pot, and you can mix it before eating. It tastes like cream and has a distinct aroma of celery, and it is also seasoned with white wine, so it has a light aroma of wine and is delicious.Although it looks like a lot, I think it might not be enough for one person. If you add an extra 5€, you can upgrade to XXL.
leon classic seafood grilled rice Paella leon (19.9€)
There are many different kinds of seafood in one portion, including shrimps, flowers, and the main mussels. The ingredients are generous and fresh. The rice grains are distinct and seasoned with curry spices. If you come alone, you can order this. You can eat the main mussels, as well as different seafood and grilled rice.
Cod steak crumble d'eglefin (14.5€)
This pot is seasoned mainly with tomatoes, with a little acidity from tomatoes, and a little green sauce is drizzled on top, giving it a very layered taste. There are a lot of vegetables in it, such as zucchini, bell peppers, eggplants... they have all been stewed and are very delicious. The texture of the fish tastes like Taiwanese pangasius. It is very tender and has no spines at all. I think this dish is delicious ~ recommended ( It’s just that the portion of fish is a bit small)
Overall, I am very satisfied with the meal. The restaurant is comfortable and the food is not very expensive. I think it is a restaurant with high CP value. If you like seafood, don’t miss this one~
