This Thai cuisine restaurant has branches in Taiwan, New York, and Tokyo, and has been awarded one Michelin star many times. Is Lai Chi Chi different from other Thai restaurants?

The restaurant in Bangkok is next to BTS Sala Daeng, just a 5-minute walk away. It looks like an ordinary restaurant from the outside. I thought the decoration of the Michelin restaurant would be gorgeous🤣

It has been recognized by Michelin every year since 2018. It’s amazing👍🏻

The interior is high-ceilinged and has two floors, but there are not many tables. When I arrived at three o'clock that afternoon, there were still many customers in the store. In addition to foreigners, there were also quite a few locals. It felt good ~ Looking forward to it

The menus are both in English and with pictures, which is very easy to understand (I like menus with pictures the best🤣). You can also refer to the official website:http://www.somtumder.com/home.html

There are many kinds of desserts and they look delicious~

Thai iced milk tea(65฿)

Delicious! It is the classic Thai milk. It has a strong tea flavor and milk taste, and is filled with ice cubes. It is comfortable ~ The vegetable basin next to it is provided at every table. After eating the heavy oil, salty and spicy food, a vegetable stick is very refreshing.

Grilled Pork Skewers Moo Ping Kati Sod(180฿)

Moo Ping means pork skewers, and kati means coconut. They are pork skewers marinated in coconut milk and then grilled. I can't taste the coconut milk, but the charcoal smell is very fragrant~ The three white ones next to it are basically Taiwanese rice noodles! It’s just a little thicker, tasteless and dry, but it’s not good to eat, but it’s okay to eat it with the fat of the pork.

 Tom Yum Koong-Cream soup(290฿)

The Tom Yum Gong here is divided into clear soup and thick soup (with shrimp paste). This is the first time I saw the one with shrimp paste, so of course I ordered it! This pot is not big, one person can finish it. The soup base Super delicious~ It has a slightly sour, spicy, lemongrass, and various spices. Although it doesn’t taste as thick as ramen soup, the taste is very rich and thick. It’s very delicious. Highly recommend~

There are about four to five shrimps in it, and each time they are very big, and the shells have been peeled off, which is very convenient.

There are also some food packages, seasonings, etc. nearby that you can buy and cook at home.

Although it is a one-Michelin-star restaurant, the food is quite delicious, but it is not particularly outstanding. However, the environment is clean, there are many choices of meals, and the prices are surprisingly affordable. If you come to Bangkok, you can try this place. one
