✈️Swiss Travel Notes* Low difficulty and super boring ~ Swiss free travel 11 days and 10 nights itinerary + expenses

Switzerland free travel

Because we like to travel freely, we plan everything by ourselves. Fortunately, Switzerland is a country with very complete public transportation. As long as you have a Swiss Travel Pass (STP for short), it is very simple. You can use it basically wherever you go. This time we went around Switzerland in a clockwise direction, but we are very useless people, so we didn’t have too many compact itineraries. Most of the time we just wandered around the streets and ate delicious food. If you like a packed itinerary, , you may need to read more introductions from others🤣Let me share the most important money first~

DAY2: [LX1613 Milan transfer]

Departs at 10:45 and arrives in Zurich at 11:40. As soon as I got off the plane, I went to the hotel to fall asleep for 3 hours. In the evening, I went to visit the most famous COOP supermarket in Switzerland~ I felt like I was possessed inside. I wanted to buy and eat everything, haha.

Brunch - I’m airsick and have back pain, but I’m not hungry at all 😂

DAY3: [One-day tour of Zurich city *STP eight-day ticket available]

Love's Crash Landing on Lindenhof Observation Deck + Zurich Cathedral + Rose Fountain + Boat Ride. In downtown Zurich, climb up the gentle slope to the Lindenhof Mountain. This is one of the oldest areas in Zurich and enjoy the unobstructed view of the city. The highlight is that Crash Landing on You was also filmed here ~ After descending the mountain, visit the rose fountain. , Zurich Cathedral, and then take a walk along the boulevard along the Zurich River. There are many water sports to play here. Many people jump directly into the lake to swim, or SUP, windsurfing, pedaling (similar to duck stepping), Sunbathing☀️...etc., some people will also have picnics and barbecues here. They really like the CHILL feeling along the lakeside~ Finally, they can take a sightseeing boat to go down around the lake and return to the city.

DAY4: [Zurich-St. Moritz]

Departure at 10:12 in the morning and arrive in St. Moritz at 14:00. St. Moritz is a small city, centered on Lake St. Moritz and surrounded by mountains. Although it is small, it is a high-end resort that the rich and famous love to come here, so there are many high-end hotels, casinos, and very complete facilities. The boutiques (LV, Gucci, Hermes, Moncler, Bucherer, Cartier, IWC...) feel like they are small but well-equipped, but we don’t have money to buy luxury goods🤣, so we walk along the shore of Lake St. Moritz , you can also row boats and ride bicycles, and there are relatively few tourists here. The whole town is very peaceful, making it my favorite city.

DAY5: [St. Moritz-Zermatt]

The Glacier Train departs at 08:51 and arrives at 17:10. The entire Glacier Train has large floor-to-ceiling windows, and the scenery along the way changes a lot and is really beautiful. However, sitting there for 8 hours makes my back sore🤣. The meals on the train are very ordinary, so it is highly recommended to bring your own lunch. It was already evening when we arrived at the Zermatt hotel. We could go shopping in the streets of Zermatt, buy souvenirs, rest early, and prepare to get up early the next day to go to the Matterhorn.

Take the rail train up the mountain and it will take about 40 minutes to reach the Gornergrat station at the top of the mountain. From there, you can enjoy the spectacular glacier scenery, take photos with TOBLERONE Swiss chocolates and the Matterhorn himself (it is cold and windy up there all year round, so remember to wear a jacket). If you have time Photographers can also record videos on it, which is very spectacular. Afterwards, you can shop for souvenirs and write postcards to send home. It takes about an hour to get to the top before getting ready to go down. It is highly recommended to hike for two stops, walk to Riffelberg Station, and then take the rail train down the mountain. It takes about an hour and a half. Only the top of the mountain is slightly steeper, and the rest is down. They are all very flat and easy to walk routes, and you can enjoy the scenery along the way. Although you are tired after the walk, it is very memorable and is the most special memory of this time.
