I climbed down from the Matterhorn in the afternoon and returned to the city of Zermatt. My whole body was really sore and tired. On the way back to the hotel, I saw this corner cafe. It looked very comfortable, so I went in to take a look and take a rest.

The decoration in the store is simple and clean, and the space is quite large, but because the air conditioner is not turned on, it is a bit stuffy. It is more comfortable to sit outside to enjoy the breeze and look at the scenery. Moreover, the outdoor chairs can be sunk in, which is super comfortable ~ very suitable for sleeping

There is a menu on the table. We only ordered drinks and snacks that day, but other meals are also served here. After finding a seat, the waiters will come to help order meals. The waiters here are super friendly.

I ordered a home-made ice tea (5 CHF) and lemonade (5 CHF). The ice tea feels a bit like hibiscus tea. I have never had this kind of taste abroad. It is very special. Lemonade is serious lemon juice, without any sugar added at all, so it tastes quite sour, but it is very refreshing when paired with fresh mint leaves.

Strawberry croissant fruit cream croissant (7 CHF)

It contains custard and fresh strawberries, which tastes very good. The strawberries and blueberries are very fresh, but the croissant is not freshly baked and is a bit soft, which is a pity.

Malakoff cheese balls (15.00 CHF)

This is a very authentic local snack in Switzerland. It is relatively common in western Switzerland. It is a small snack mixed with cheese in the dough and then fried. Although it is a traditional Swiss snack, it is not that easy to find. Surprisingly, it is here I’m so happy to find the coffee shop!!

I originally imagined that it would be like cheese sticks with crispy fried skin on the outside and melted cheese on the inside, but instead it tasted more like grilled food. The sauce below was a little spicy, making it a snack with a strong taste ( It feels a bit Indian), it’s completely different from what you imagined, it’s quite special, you can give it a try

The waiters in this cafe are very nice and they serve traditional snacks, which is an unexpected surprise.
