Today we went for a walk in Fukuoka's famous Ohori Park. It's rare to see such a large lake park in Japan. It feels quite like New York's Central Park~
The weather is very good. Many people are walking, jogging along the lake, or sitting on chairs by the lake to relax in the sun. It is very relaxing.
Walk slowly along the lake for about 30 minutes. You can enjoy the scenery along the way. The ducks are all sleeping~
There are several coffee shops by the lake in the park. The most popular one is Starbucks, but there are many people, and the inner area is also crowded, so I decided to choose another Japanese-style & LOCALS coffee shop. It looks very elegant and has no It’s great to be crowded!
The maple tree in front of the door happens to be red, lucky~
If there are no seats, you have to wait and register yourself. This store has low discounts where each person needs to order one item. If it is full, the time limit will be 90 minutes.
The menu is at the counter, and it also has an English version. In addition to traditional Japanese desserts and drinks, they also sell simple savory set meals. Take a look at the counter and order directly.
After ordering your meal, find a seat and put this order on the table. Wait a moment but don’t doubt it. The waiter will find you by himself🤣 (It’s amazing~ He can find me even when I’m sitting on the second floor)
The space inside is all in wood tones, and with the large floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the lake, the lighting is great.
Although it’s not as crowded as Starbucks, business is pretty good.
Half of the second floor is a space for employees to hold meetings, so there are relatively few seats, but the view from the second floor is amazing~
Sitting by the window you can get a beautiful view of the entire lake

Monakamochi Yame Tea Ice Cream EL Nona (¥750) The tea flavor of the ice cream is very strong and sweet, and the red bean puree is also slightly sweet. It is delicious, but it will not be greasy if it is paired with sugar-free sencha (the sencha looks very light, but the taste is It’s so rich!)
There is also a special card introducing Monakamochi (the one with a flower on top of the ice cream)
Monakamochi is made of glutinous rice flour and is a traditional Japanese dessert, but it tastes exactly like a McDonald's ice cream cone~ (Am I not smart enough?)
You can choose two flavors of tofu sushi, I chose apple honey りんごはちみつ (red) and ginger sesame ジンジャー flax (grey)
The apples in the apple honey are crunchy but have no flavor, and the honey is also light. The overall taste is sweet and suitable for children. There are chopped young ginger in the ginger sesame, and the ginger flavor is quite strong. It is very similar to eating tofu skin sushi with ginger slices. Both of them contain oats. I like the slightly QQ texture. The tofu skin is also moist and delicious.
Continue to be in a daze and look at the people coming and going~ It’s so comfortable
After eating, you have to take it to the first floor for recycling
Next to the counter, they also sell their own tea, honey cake, wagashi...etc., so you can take some of your favorite products home.
The most special thing is that there are snacks for dogs!
There is also a small section selling some groceries.
If you come to Ohori Park during your itinerary, I highly recommend this cafe. It’s very relaxing and you can have a good rest in the afternoon.
