This three-story Huangjia Beer House is located in the center of Munich. It was founded in 1589 and has a history of more than 400 years!! (It’s too exaggerated. It’s basically a historic site.)
It used to be the brewery of the royal court, but now it is the largest beer restaurant in the world. It should be regarded as the most famous restaurant in Munich. It is already one of the must-visit itineraries in Munich. Some people did not eat but just visited it recently.
The interior of the restaurant is very classically decorated in European style, with many graffiti on the ceiling.
There is also a cute little angel on the ceiling
You can reserve a table on Google map, but in fact the space inside is very large and there are a lot of tables. The whole store is noisy. Even if a group of people don't make a reservation, it's OK. No one will pay attention to you after you come in XD, just find a seat and sit down That’s it, if you’re lucky you can sit near the stage!
The waiter came quickly to give us the menu. On that day, the waiter saw that we were foreigners and very considerately changed it to an English menu for us, but his face was a bit smelly🤣
Although the menu is in English, there are so many different types of pork, it’s hard to understand haha
I think it’s better to do some homework, or show him the photo directly, so it’s more convenient to order.
There are also many choices for drinks. As expected of Germany, there are many types of beer.
There is a cute waiter with a basket selling pretzel bread and a slice of donut-like bread at the table. If you buy it, you have to pay directly in cash.
You can study the menu while eating bread, because it takes a long time to read the menu XD and the waiter is super busy and a little impatient, so it’s best to be sure before asking them to order.
The pretzel bread here is delicious!!
Pretzel bread is quite common in Western countries. There are grains of salt on it and it tastes a bit alkaline. I was not used to it the first time I ate it, but then I gradually found it quite delicious. Most of them are on the hard side, but this one is softer. It’s chewy and the best I’ve ever tasted! However, the salt grains here are very large and numerous. It’s so salty that you keep peeling them off until the end of the meal. I highly recommend ordering one to give it a try.
Münchner Weiss-wheat beer (5.2€)
Lemonade (4.1€)
Dark radler (10.4€)
Mulled wine (forgot XD)
I ordered a variety of beers, all of them tasted delicious. I highly recommend Dark Radler. It has a light wheat aroma and is very refreshing. It goes well with greasy meat👍🏻
Lemonade tastes like Sprite. It is sweeter and more suitable for children. The alcohol concentration of mulled wine is high. If girls don’t like beer, you can try it.
Mixed salad platter with bacon& grains salad plate (10.50€)
It’s just a salad, nothing special, but it’s very satisfying to eat meat and drink wine with a salad.
Rost “Bratwurstl” 10 pieces (13.5€)
The grilled sausage and sauerkraut are served with ketchup and yellow mustard sauce buns on the side. The grilled sausage has a rich juicy flavor and the sauerkraut underneath is very sour. It’s just right to eat the two together.
A whole roasted knukle of pork German crispy roasted pig's feet (17.9€)
It is indeed a famous German dish. It looks super crispy on the outside. The portion is actually not very big, but it is full of meat and is easy to get tired of. It is suitable for 2-3 people to share.
(The roasted pig's feet does not come with sauerkraut. If you want to order it separately, you can order a sausage, and you can have sausages, sauerkraut, and pig's feet. Kill three birds with one stone😆)
The meat inside is very tender after being cut, so you don’t have to bite hard, and it’s not too chewy. It’s delicious~
The ball next to it is very special. It feels like it is made of corn flour. The QQ ball has no taste. It tastes good when dipped in gravy.
But overall it’s a bit salty and makes me want to drink beer again and again. No wonder German beer is so famous.
At about 6 pm, there began to be live performances of traditional Bavarian folk songs. With the live performances, the already noisy atmosphere became very joyful ~ and they even drank beer while playing, which was super chill.
There is also a sales department selling souvenirs.
