In my mind, Japan and France are the two countries with the best desserts in the world. I didn’t expect that there is a dorayaki restaurant in Paris that combines French and Japanese styles. “TOMO” in Japanese means “Friend”, which is It was founded by Japanese chef Takashi Murata and French chef Romain Gaia. This restaurant has been interviewed in many columns and books. It must be very good~

At the corner of a small alley in the second district near the Opera House, I arrived at 6:00 pm that day. There were 4 groups queuing outside. Business was very good (the photo was taken when I was leaving). Although he opened at 18:45, But 18:20 is the last order, so don’t press the line if you want to go

There are two large compartments in the store, and there are plenty of seats. However, because the business is so good, it is always packed with guests. The store has a special reminder not to bring a computer to occupy a seat for a long time, and you are not allowed to drink precious milk (why is it only for rare milk🤣)

There is no music and there are many people inside. It is not a quiet and calming coffee shop, but a coffee shop that is suitable for chatting with friends.

The lamp on the counter also looks like a dorayaki. The whole store is really a fusion of French and Japanese styles, very delicate and cute.

There are other desserts, they all look delicious, and they are covered with lids to prevent them from drying out.

There is also Dorayaki that can be taken away, and the price is cheaper than eating in the store.

There are also some teas sold on the wall, most of which are Japanese tea.

I was lucky enough to be taken to a seat at the bar. I like the seat at the bar very much. I can watch the waiter prepare the meal, just like watching a show. Most of the staff in this store are Japanese, and even the foreigners can speak Japanese, as if they were in Japan in one second.

巴黎食記*法日融合Tomo特色銅鑼燒專賣店

The menu is only in French. Although I can guess some of it, I think the menu is quite difficult to understand XD. I ordered directly from the photos on Google Maps.

Iced Matcha Glace(9.8€)

Usually when ordering tea outside, many tea bags or tea leaves are stirred before being served (some are not even stirred, just throw a tea bag to you XD), but the matcha here is not so careless, the staff It’s the type that uses a tea spoon to make tea seriously. You can only add two ice cubes. The cups are also very particular. They look super professional👍🏻! (And a cup is 9.8, which is almost NT$340. It seems that you should be more particular. 🤣 ) The tea aroma of matcha is very strong, but it is very light and refreshing when you drink it. It feels like your body and mind are purified XD

Matcha red bean Dorayaki Matcha (6€)

The presentation of this plate is super cute, but I didn’t even notice the word “Friends” printed on it, because it was freshly made and the skin was still a little lukewarm. I originally thought the green lump was matcha sauce or matcha cream, but it turned out It turns out to be matcha flavored cheese! Very strong~

Look at how beautiful this cross-section is~~ It’s a little salty and tastes a bit like egg yolk. It’s paired with slightly sweet red beans. It’s a perfect fusion of Japanese and French characteristics.

There are countless dessert shops in Paris, but this one is really special. I recommend it to everyone!
