Sweet soup lovers will definitely take note of this place when they come to Singapore! Whether you want something salty, sweet, hot or cold, you can find it here
This time-honored traditional sweet soup shop is very famous in Singapore. It is located near Chinatown and only a 2-3 minute walk from Chinatown Station.
If you're inside, you can find a seat directly. You can order food and then queue up. There's really an endless stream of customers.
The interior environment is very large, and there are two rooms inside, but it is still full of customers, and business is really good.
There are two sides of the menu, one side is sweet soup and savory food
The other side is ice cream, and everything looks delicious ~ Super choice barrier🤣
I ordered three hot and sweet soups. Just by looking at them, I thought they were too real! Come and try it now
Beancurd and Ginkgo barley water ($4.5)
There are a lot of ginkgo, barley and bean curds in it. The ginkgo is big, plump and delicious. The soup base is sweet barley soup, not too thick. The bean curd soaked in it also has a light bean aroma. In Singapore, the bean curd is big. Part of it is cooked sweet, which is very different from Taiwan (Taiwanese bean curd is put in hot pot with shacha sauce🤣). The bean curd is soaked soft and soaked with sweet soup. It is a very special way to eat it.
Almond black glutinous rice ($4.3)
The almond flavor is very strong but not too sweet. Black glutinous rice is a bit like purple rice. Almond soup alone would be a bit monotonous. Adding black glutinous rice gives it an extra crunchy texture. This combination is super delicious ~ the sweetness is also just right.
Taro puree ($4)
This taro paste is super thick, it feels like thickening, and quite sweet. There are also a lot of ginkgo and sweet potatoes on top. Although it is a small bowl, you will be very full after eating it XD
Coconut milk cake ($3.6)
The coconut milk has a strong flavor and tastes dense and solid. I also like this ~ delicious
Jelly Snowflake Ice ($8)
There will be a jar of syrup next to the meal, so you can pour it on yourself (it looks like brown sugar but you can’t tell what it tastes like). The English name for syrup is Chendol, which is also called "Cendol" or "Cendol" in Taiwan. I haven’t seen it before. It is a special traditional dessert in Southeast Asia. The whole bowl is very similar to Taiwan’s traditional shaved ice, but with the unique coconut milk flavor of Southeast Asia.
There are many ingredients in it (red beans, grass jelly, ata tangerine, green vermicelli, jelly that looks like aiyu)
Atazhi, I’m so surprised! It’s rare. You can usually only eat it in Momo Chacha (it’s the transparent one inside Momo Chacha). The slightly hard and slightly chewy texture is delicious~ The green vermicelli looks very special and tastes a little bit It tastes like a middle between rice noodles and vermicelli. There is no special taste.
Grass jelly ($3)
It’s grass jelly juice XD Skip
Raw ground sesame paste ($3.8)
Because I really like eating this traditional dessert, but I couldn’t finish so much, so I finally took out sesame paste and walnut paste and went back to the hotel to continue eating XD It’s very rich and has a strong sesame flavor, but Taiwan’s Jiajia dessert has It has a bit more of a baking aroma, but this one doesn’t have it, which is a bit of a pity.
Raw ground walnut paste ($4.3)
Walnut paste is very expensive in Taiwan, but it is relatively cost-effective here~ It also has a very rich taste, and the walnut flavor is very fragrant, better than sesame paste (but they are both nuts and quite sweet, so it is really sinful to eat them haha) This shop is recommended to old souls who love these sweet soups as much as I do~, and there is another shopAh Qiu Dessert (click here to read the article)It’s also delicious. I highly recommend both restaurants~
